Here is my picture. He really likes sandcastles.

Religious Education

For religious education my Mum read the verses to me and I coloured in a stain glass window.

The very clever possum - My animal report

 My Possum report

All about possums

We have lots of possums at our place. They only come out at nighttime (they are nocturnal).
They like the apple and willow trees the most. I have seen them taking the apples off the tree.
Possums come from Australia and some people put traps to catch them because they are a pest in New Zealand. We do not trap the possum at our place because I like them.

Dad and the Possum

My Dad patted a possum the other day because he thought it was our cat.
And I patted a baby possum once it was sitting in my shed.
My dad said he has seen possum steeling the chicken from the nest in the hay shed.
This is a photo I took of a possum on a cabbage tree outside our house.

Possum drawing

Here is a drawing of a possum.

Tail - they have thick fury tails
Feet - they have very sharp claws
Colour - they have dark fur that makes them hard to see at night.

Information report on chickens

Chickens 🐤🐤🐤

We have lots of different types of chickens at our place.

A boy chicken is called a rooster and a girl is called a hen.

Can you tell which photo is a hen and which photo is a rooster?

The first photo is rooster and the second photo is a hen.
Roosters are bigger than hens and they crow (make a loud noise) and they have a different comb (thing on the top of the head.
These chickens are called Silkies and this is a type of bantam

This is a Pekin hen she is also a bantam.
Bantam means small breed of chicken

This is a white leg horn rooster. He is much bigger.

This Silkie hen is on her nest, hopefully she is laying a egg.
She might go broody soon.
Broody means she will stay on her nest most of the time and I can put some eggs under her and breed some chicks (baby chickens).
Eggs need to be under the hen for 3 weeks to hatch.

Our chicken like to eat wheat like the hen in the story.

Here is my chicken drawing.
I put labels on the feet, legs beak, eyes, comb, wings and tail.
Did you know that Silkie chickens have 5 toes ( Other types of chickens only have 4 toes)
